Lil John's Mountain Music Festival
Snow Camp, N.C.

The three-day Lil John’s Mountain Music Festival provides the convenience of a full-service campground with morning and evening sets by the featured acts each day. If you’re camping, especially, you can catch the day’s music at your leisure.

The music area is set off to one side of the campground, though some campsites are adjacent to it. The lawn sloping toward the small single stage is pretty well shaded by trees.

Shows are held on Memorial Day and Labor Day weekends, and are a revival of a festival held for many years by the late John D. Maness of the Bass Mountain Boys. John D. Maness Jr. and his wife, Natalie, say they want to blend tradition with a new direction. The vibe is down home and laid back, with an allegiance to family, God and country.

A few vendors ring the performance lawn, and small concessions and performers’ vending sheds sit to one side.
