'Cuegrass is a single-day festival in downtown Raleigh sponsored by The Pit, an upscale barbecue restaurant. Mostly, because it is held on a couple of blocks in front of the restaurant, 'Cuegrass is crowded.

![]() Ed Mitchell, pit master and the public face of The Pit, said at the 2010 festival – the second one – that the plan for the following year was to move to Fayetteville Street, which has a plaza for festivals and more room overall. But it was back in the Warehouse District for 2011. |
| Mitchell also said late in the afternoon that 'Cuegrass had cooked up 16 200-pound hogs. The festival, a fundraiser for family farms, sold barbecue and beef brisket sandwiches, plus beer and sodas. | ![]() |
